YUMMY! SORBET COLORS FOR INTERIOR DESIGN 2013

YUMMY! Pale sorbet colors are predicted to be the favorite hues for 2013 according to Benjamin Moore. Their choice color is Lemon Sorbet 2019-60, the ideal color as we transition away from bold and saturated hues that we've been using in interior design projects. The Benjamin Moore selection corresponds with one of Pantone's 10 exciting hues for Spring 2013, Lemon Zest 13-00756.
The palette couldn’t be more perfect for our southeastern location and lifestyle. The soft yellow family of colors, including  Goldtone and Suntan Yellow, darker tints of Lemon Sorbet, partner well with existing furnishings. So all you might need to update your home is a simple coat of paint. The emerging palette of pastels gives a fresh and original look to interiors and exteriors as well.
My crystal ball worked once again for two projects I completed this summer. For each used a variation of Lemon Sorbet (See blog story: “Create A Sunny Disposition With Paint dated: 10-12-12). I selected the yellows because no matter what time of day, or what the weather outside, the atmosphere of the spaces elicits feelings of pleasure and contentment.

The 18 other trend colors on the Benjamin Moore menu are equally as delicious as Lemon Sorbet (2019-60), and when used in combination, they create a feast for the eyes when teamed with existing home furnishings. Subscribe to this blog, or my Facebook page for details.
